Construction

Construction is GBC’s core competence. This module in our range comprises traditional construction business and construction management in the field of building construction, civil engineering and infrastructure facilities.

Construction means on-the-spot creation – anywhere in the world, under a whole range of often changing conditions. For a limited period, of days, weeks or months, a building site is equivalent to a medium-sized enterprise with an output valued in millions of rupees, engaged not in mass manufacture but in the production of a single, unique structure.

Our sustainability group focuses on the following services:

• Addressing international standards for public consultation and disclosure; working with indigenous people; and hiring and work place practices.
• Designing programs that deliver training and skills that enable local workers to meet project needs and prepare for employment opportunities beyond construction.
• Designing programs that help local suppliers and contractors qualify for involvement in our project and future opportunities.
• Integrating "green," functional, and community design concepts into engineering and construction.
• Engaging local communities in partnerships that represent both project and public interests.

Environment

As a genuine company, GBC is committed to environmental excellence around the world. From groundbreaking projects, to research, to activities in local communities, GBC and its employees are taking action to protect the environment at all levels.

Operating ecologically and using limited resources sparingly is a matter of course for GBC. It is our objective to identify the environmental impact of all projects and activities early on and to keep this to a minimum. For many projects, GBC develops detailed environmental concepts and brings in innovative ideas.

Protected water supply

With the world's population growing, water supply is constantly gaining in importance. In its projects, GBC optimizes the supply of drinking water and thus contributes to a better life quality. Existing water pipelines and sewage systems are upgraded, the water infrastructure is expanded and water treatment plants as well as seawater desalination plants are built.
